JENNIFER MELYAN
ASSOCIATE MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST
I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual, because healing is never one-size-fits-all. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and am working toward licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). During my graduate traineeship, I received comprehensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adult clients under the supervision of Patty Gieselman, a Linehan Board–certified clinician, at Living Success Center SGV.
My work focuses on helping clients shape behaviors while supporting both the mind and body in learning new ways to respond to life’s challenges. I also bring 15 years of experience as an elementary school educator, which informs my collaborative, strengths-based approach and my belief in supporting the whole person. Having grown up in Taiwan, I am bilingual in Mandarin and English. I am a strong advocate for body liberation and strive to offer a validating, compassionate space where clients can build practical tools for lasting growth and create lives that feel more authentic and aligned.
