ASSOCIATE MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST

Melanie is an associate marriage and family therapist who is passionate about connecting with clients and providing validation, perspective, new ideas, and encouragement. She has extensive experience working with a wide range of clients, including teens, adults, children, and families. Melanie finds deep fulfillment in supporting parents as they seek to understand their teenagers and guide them through the often challenging adolescent years.

Melanie has worked with individuals facing a variety of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, abuse, and family conflicts, among other circumstances. Her approach is tailored to meet each person where they are, collaborating with them as a team to help them reach their goals.

Melanie utilizes several therapeutic modalities in her work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. She also encourages clients to incorporate mindfulness practices into their daily routines and employs creative, engaging interventions, especially for those who may be resistant to traditional therapy methods.

As a mother of three teens and young adults, Melanie draws on her personal life experience and her role as a parent to connect with clients and offer genuine compassion and understanding. She recognizes that everyone faces difficult situations and circumstances, and strives to support others as they navigate the ups and downs of life.
