Roseann McCants

ASSOCIATE PROFESSIONAL CLINICAL COUNSELOR

My name is Roseann and I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Alliant International University and a Master of Science in Addiction Studies from Capella University. I am currently pursuing a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) through UMass Global. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, addiction, behavioral concerns, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and relationship difficulties.

I am especially passionate about supporting children and families. I believe that healing and growth occur through connection, understanding, and meaningful experiences. My approach incorporates play-based and developmentally appropriate interventions to help children express emotions, build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and develop healthy relationships. I strive to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where children and families feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Play Therapy, and Theraplay. By integrating these modalities, I help clients develop practical skills, process difficult experiences, build resilience, and achieve meaningful personal growth.

I also enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, trauma, addiction recovery, relationship concerns, and personal development. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, identify strengths, and work toward lasting change.

I believe that every individual's story is unique and deserves to be understood within the context of their experiences, relationships, strengths, and challenges. By taking a holistic and integrative approach, I help clients explore the interconnected nature of their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and environments while addressing the underlying concerns that contribute to distress. Together, we work toward fostering resilience, healing from difficult experiences, and creating meaningful, lasting change that supports overall well-being and personal growth.
