ASSOCIATE PROFESSIONAL CLINICAL COUNSELOR

Hi, I’m Sofia! Before joining Serene Pathways, I worked in nonprofit settings supporting marginalized women, families, and teens as they navigated trauma, grief, and experiences of domestic violence. That work, along with my own personal and professional growth, has really shaped how I show up as a therapist and my commitment to providing compassionate, person-centered, culturally responsive care.

I take a relational and attachment-based approach to therapy and strongly believe that healing happens through safe, genuine connections and relationships. I draw from approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Coherence Therapy, solution-focused techniques, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), always tailoring the work to each client and moving at a pace that feels supportive, collaborative, and grounded in what feels genuine and meaningful.

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and currently practice under the supervision of Alexandra Garcia.
